Smoked Peach Cobbler: A Classic Family Recipe With a Twist!

Ingredients

  • Unsalted butter

  • Pinch of Salt

  • 1 Cup Flour

  • 1 Cup Sugar

  • 1 ¼ Cup Milk

  • Canned Peaches

Directions

  1. Fire up the pit. I stoked the Traeger Timberline 1300 with Royal Oak Charcoal and fired it up to 350℉.

  2. Melt the butter. I set the Lodge Cast Iron 9 x 13-inch pan on the pit and added a stick of unsalted butter. I let the butter melt completely, then removed the pan from the grill.

  3. Mix the dry ingredients. In a large mixing bowl, I combined the salt, flour, and sugar until homogenous.

  4. Add the wet ingredients. I slowly drizzled in the milk, stirring until it resembled a wet batter.

  5. Assemble the cobbler. I poured the batter into the bottom of the Lodge Cast Iron 9 x 13-inch pan, then added my sliced peaches and their juice. If you’re a fan of cinnamon, you can sprinkle a dash over the top.

  6. Bake. I placed the Smoked Peach Cobber on the Traeger Timberline 1300 and let it cook for 1 hour and 40 minutes until it was set and golden brown. Watch the video to learn how to make your cobbler set faster. I removed the dessert from the pit and let it cool before digging in.
