Cooking with Heath
Heath has been grilling since he was 18 years old when he participated on a competition BBQ team in Ashland, Mississippi. Since then, he’s established himself as an industry leading expert in both competition BBQ and grilling. The title of pit-master doesn't quite sum up everything Heath has cooking. He is also the creator of an award-winning line of BBQ rubs, sauces, marinades and injections that make the jaws of even the biggest BBQ skeptics drop.
Awards and Recognition
Over the years, Heath has earned recognition from the Memphis BBQ Network, Kansas City Barbeque Society, and Steak Cookoff Association for mastering multiple styles of live-fire cooking. Along the way, he has built a legendary competition resume with more than 80 championships, multiple perfect scores, and countless top finishes across the country.
His accomplishments include winning the Memphis in May World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest Grand Championship in both 2025 and 2026, becoming the first competitor in 42 years to win back-to-back Grand Championships, along with multiple 1st Place Rib championships on barbecue’s biggest stage.

However, Heath gives the most credit to his wife, Candace, who has supported him through a career challenged with countless miles of travel and work days where sleep is only a luxury.
