Easy BBQ Shrimp on the Weber Kettle Grill

Ingredients

  • ½ red bell pepper

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 3 tablespoons minced garlic

  • 2 tablespoons Bear & Burton’s W Sauce—Fireshire

  • Killer Hogs Hot Sauce, to taste

  • 3.5 ounces of light beer

  • Heath Riles BBQ Garlic Jalapeńo Rub, to taste

  • 1 tablespoon Heath Riles BBQ Cajun Creole Garlic Butter Rub

  • Heath Riles BBQ Sweet BBQ Sauce

  • Heath Riles BBQ Tangy Vinegar BBQ Sauce

  • 1 pinch black pepper

  • Juice or ½ lemon

  • 1 pound Royal Red shrimp, shell left on

  • ½ stick salted butter, cubed

Directions

  1. Stoke the Weber Kettle Grill or the charcoal grill of your choice with Royal Oak Charcoal Super-Sized Briquettes and Royal Oak Tumbleweeds and fire it up to 500℉, creating a two-zone fire.

  2. Wash and dice ½ a bell pepper, and set a small cast iron skillet on the grill’s grates. Add the butter and red bell peppers, shut the grill’s lid, let the veggies cook for 2-3 minutes, and add the garlic.

  3. Let the garlic cook for 2-3 minutes, then add Bear & Burton’s W Sauce—Fireshire, Killer Hogs Hot Sauce, beer, and a dash of Heath Riles BBQ Garlic Jalapeńo Rub and Heath Riles BBQ Cajun Creole Garlic Butter Rub.

  4. Add Heath Riles BBQ Sweet BBQ Sauce, Heath Riles BBQ Tangy Vinegar BBQ Sauce, and a pinch of black pepper to the same pan. Shut the lid to the grill and let the sauce simmer for about 3 minutes to let the flavors marry.

  5. Add a little lemon juice to the sauce to give it a hint of citrus. Add the Royal Red shrimp to the pan and toss them into the sauce. Push the skillet toward the hot zone of the fire and let the shrimp cook for 2-3 minutes, then add the sliced butter.

  6. When the butter is melted, top the Easy BBQ Shrimp recipe with a little more Heath Riles BBQ Cajun Creole Garlic Butter Rub and take it off the heat.

  7. Garnish the shrimp with green onions and grilled lemon, if desired. Enjoy!
