These Oven-Baked Ribs deliver competition-worthy barbecue flavor without ever firing up a smoker. Cooked low and slow until tender, then finished with a sticky-sweet glaze, they're an easy way to enjoy juicy, flavorful St. Louis-style ribs any time of year.

How to Cook Ribs in the Oven

Ingredients

  • 2 racks Prairie Fresh Prime St. Louis-style ribs

  • Mustard

  • Heath Riles BBQ Garlic Jalapeño Rub

  • Heath Riles BBQ Competition BBQ Rub

  • Heath Riles BBQ Sweet BBQ Sauce

  • Heath Riles BBQ Competition BBQ Sauce

  • Heath Riles BBQ Cherry Apple Habanero BBQ Glaze

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300℉.

  2. Trim the ribs to your liking, removing the membrane, stray pieces of bone, and hard fat caps.

  3. Place a layer of aluminum foil over a baking tray and set a cooling rack over the top. If desired, drizzle the ribs with mustard.

  4. Season the meat on all sides with Heath Riles BBQ Competition BBQ Rub and Heath Riles BBQ Garlic Jalapeńo Rub. Transfer the meat to the cooling rack, then bunch the ribs together, allowing for airflow.

  5. Set the ribs on the bottom rack of the preheated oven and let them cook for one hour. Spin the meat and transfer it to the top rack, then cook for another hour. Rotate the ribs to the bottom rack and cook them for 30 minutes.

  6. Remove the ribs from the oven and brush them on both sides with glaze. Return them to the oven for 10 minutes to tack up, then remove them from heat and let them rest. Enjoy!
